No Passport Needed. Ever.
No long waits in immigrations. No worries! No passport is required for travel between the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is a U.S. Commonwealth; as such, it offers visitors the best of both worlds: the safety of a solid infrastructure and all comforts of "home" with all the perks of a tropical getaway. The currency here is the U.S. dollar and English is widely spoken. Have clients save their passport headaches for another time!

More Flights into Paradise
More airlines are expanding their air service to Puerto Rico with increased flights and destinations. JetBlue Airways now offers daily nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and Mercedita Airport (PSE) in the town of Ponce, gateway to Porta Caribe. On November 5th, it will also begin daily nonstop flights year-round from Ft. Lauderdale to Ponce. The low-cost carrier already offers daily nonstops from JFK to San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and twice daily from Orlando to both San Juan and Aguadilla's Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN).

Spirit Airlines offers nonstop flights and accessible connections to San Juan from a long list of U.S. gateways--  from Detroit to Washington, D.C., and even Cancun and Nassau. It also flies nonstop from Fort Lauderdale to Aguadilla.

In fact, accessibility to Aguadilla is growing with a number of airlines flying into this important Western destination. Continental Airlines offers daily nonstop service from New York/Newark, while Delta offers daily flights from Atlanta.

This healthy competition benefits travelers via excellent rates offered throughout the year. As the major Caribbean gateway, Puerto Rico also offers a wealth of easy connections to other Caribbean islands. For instance, Cape Air--whose affiliation with Continental allows your clients to accumulate OnePass miles on its flights--has hourly departures from San Juan to St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola. Within Puerto Rico, Cape Air flies to Ponce, Vieques and Mayaguez.

The Big Day at a Small Inn
With easy access from the U.S., cosmopolitan conveniences and gorgeous landscapes from coast to coast, Puerto Rico and its small hotels can make your clients' wedding day turn into one of unforgettable memories.

Here, clients can enjoy all the advantages of a North American destination with the exoticism of a Caribbean location. Puerto Rico's standing as a U.S. Commonwealth adds a level of convenience to both travel and wedding planning: English is widely spoken, no passport is needed and wedding planners are available to tend to a couple's every wish, plus the island's proximity to the U.S. ensures that guests can get here effortlessly. Clients can choose between a small yet flower-filled ceremony by the sea, a big mountaintop wedding with champagne flowing, or intimate nuptials amid centuries-old structures.

Puerto Rico's small inns are so varied in scope that they're able to provide a wide range of wedding options for your clients, from barefoot beachside bliss to big-city festivities. These small properties are made to shower guests with personalized attention, so clients' expectations are met and even exceeded. In fact, your clients and their guests could easily take over one of Puerto Rico's small properties for their special event and make it their own, ensuring that all ministrations are bestowed upon them.

The Next Day
Not only are your clients able to combine a memorable wedding with a passionate honeymoon right here in Puerto Rico, but they can also take advantage of a great number of cruises that depart directly from the island. Cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Princess Cruises, and Carnival Cruises have Caribbean itineraries departing from and arriving to San Juan that make for an unforgettable honeymoon option. Clients' small inn of choice may also arrange for magical moments just for the happy couple: horseback riding on the beach, a private sojourn around the island, even a private dinner under the stars. All they have to do is ask!
